Leah brings steadiness to the people who call GoodWin. She listens, gathers the details that matter, and gets the file moving toward the right lawyer.
Leah is GoodWin Law’s Legal Assistant and Office Manager. For many clients, she is the first person they speak to — the voice on the other end of that first, often anxious, phone call. Behind the scenes, she keeps the firm’s four lawyers organized and its operations running, from new client intake to billing to the steady administrative work that holds a law practice together. Her path to law ran through medicine: before this, she spent years in medical administration, including emergency room work, where she learned to stay calm and organized when everything is moving at once.
When someone reaches GoodWin after losing a job, Leah is usually the first person they talk to. People tend to arrive stressed and uncertain — unsure of what their options are, or whether they have any at all. Leah’s first job is to steady them. She listens, gathers the details that matter, and gets the file moving toward the right lawyer.
She also offers something simpler: reassurance. Many people call believing that losing a job is the end of the conversation — that filing for EI is their only option. Leah does not give legal advice, but she can tell them they have come to the right place, and that their situation often holds more than they assume. That early reassurance — the sense that someone capable has picked up the phone — is frequently what a client needs most in that moment. It is an instinct she built triaging patients in emergency rooms, and it carries directly into this work.
What Leah will tell you about GoodWin is simple: the people here genuinely care — about their clients, and about the work. That conviction is the backing behind everything the firm does, and it is the reason Leah is proud to be the one who keeps it running.
