Jeremy brings clients into the process — explaining the landscape, demystifying the procedure, and ensuring that every step forward is one they understand and can stand behind.
Jeremy's primary practice is professional regulation: he represents regulated professionals — paramedics, nurses, social workers, and others — facing complaints and conduct proceedings before the bodies that govern their fields. He also practises labour law, representing unionized workers and their unions. Across both, Jeremy brings the same advantage: he knows the landscape as well as he knows the law.
Jeremy's professional regulation practice is informed by direct experience inside regulatory bodies. As an investigator and in-house counsel at two BC professional regulators, he learned how these institutions think, how they operate, and how decisions get made from the inside. That experience now belongs entirely to his clients. His insider knowledge is a tactical advantage, and he puts it to work accordingly.
For many people, the legal system is daunting, and it was never designed to be accessible. Jeremy's practice is built on changing that experience. He brings clients into the process — explaining the landscape, demystifying the procedure, and ensuring that every step forward is one they understand and can stand behind. His manner is direct and unhurried, his language free of the jargon that creates distance between lawyers and the people they serve.
Clients across both sides of his practice — unions and regulated professionals alike — find the same thing: someone who is clearly in command of a complex environment, and who has the skills and knowledge to lead clients through. When a matter reaches a hearing or a mediation, that command shows in real time — Jeremy is at his sharpest thinking on his feet, adjusting the argument as the room shifts.
